1. What we collect
When you use HeirTaj, we collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone number, payment details, profile photo), information generated by your use of the Platform (listings, messages, purchases, browsing history), and technical information (IP address, device type, browser, app version).
2. How we use your data
We use your information to: operate and personalise the Platform, process transactions and payments, send order updates and account notifications, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service, improve our products and services, and comply with legal obligations under UAE law.
3. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with: payment processors to complete transactions, courier partners to fulfil deliveries, identity verification providers for seller onboarding, and analytics tools to understand Platform usage. All third parties are contractually bound to protect your data.
4. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, we may retain certain information for up to 5 years to comply with financial regulations and dispute resolution requirements. You can request deletion of your data by contacting [email protected].
5. Your rights

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, two-factor authentication, and regular security audits. Despite these measures, no system is fully secure. We will notify you promptly in the event of a data breach affecting your personal information.

8. Children's privacy
HeirTaj is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete their data promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
